Calypso Divers is a PADI 5*star IDC (Instructor Development Course) center based in Phuket, Thailand, offering PADI scuba diving courses of all levels. PADI Scuba Diving Courses

To divers world-wide, PADI is the most trusted and recognized organization for recreational diving education. For many years we have been a PADI 5 star IDC (Instructor Development Course) center, because we at Calypso Divers believe "To help more people share our love for diving, we must help to train good divers. To help train good divers, we must first help to train good diving instructors".

Many of our staff are our former students, dive master trainees, or IDC candidates, trained by the company and recruited afterwards as dive guides, instructors or office personnel.

By doing so we also have the advantage of keeping our service quality consistent for our customers. No matter who your dive guide is today, you know he/she is going to be as good as the one before. If you are taking a scuba diving course, you can trust that all of our instructors are taking their job of teaching YOU very seriously (while making it fun at the same time).

For those who wish to take the steps to become a dive professional, the training you go through with Calypso Divers is solid and invaluable: you work on our own boat, with real customers, real diving, real challenges. The whole Calypso Divers team offers full support and is ready to help you any time. Perhaps after you finish your training or pass your IE (Instructor Exam), you will become one of us too.

Scuba Diving Daytrips

Diving around Phuket is all year-round and suitable for divers at every level. With a weekly schedule, our day-trip boat MV Greta is one of the most popular dive boats around Phuket.

Our goal has always been to provide the best service to divers from all over the world. The boat was carefully designed and equipped to meet divers' needs, and we try to keep our standards high.

Greta's full-time tour leader, together with our very experienced boat crew and dive guides, work hard to make sure your experience with us, whether on the boat or under water, will be most enjoyable.

So what sets us apart from others?
Could it be our detailed briefings about the boat, the dive sites and safety? The ready, helping hands of the boat boys before even being asked? The small size of each dive group? How the captain spots you within seconds after you surface from a dive and moves the boat, positioning the ladder right in front of you? Phi-Phi Overnight Special

Many of you who have been diving with us here around Phuket will know our famous Phi Phi overnight special.

Now twice a week (Friday ~ Saturday and Monday ~ Tuesday), this trip not only offers the best opportunity to dive on the most beautiful sites around Phuket and Phi-Phi, but is also a perfect weekend getaway if you need a break from the hustle and bustle of city life.

The trip includes 7 dives, all meals on board and one night accommodation at a beach front resort on Phi-Phi.

After 4 dives on the first day, you can stroll down the long sandy beach to the bar nearby for the impressive "fire show", or just relax in the comfortable, air-conditioned bungalow.

Don't be surprised when you draw the curtains open and step out to the balcony of your room the next morning-- you will be greeted by the breath-taking view of the whole bay. And the abundant breakfast buffet shall prepare you for the 3 dives on the second day.

Similans & Richelieu Liveaboard

The 9 islands some 70 kilometers northwest of Phuket, known as the Similan Islands, are rated as some of the best dive destinations in the world. White sandy bottom or dramatic tunnels, swim-throughs amongst granite boulders, colorful reef species or big pelagic life, stunning corals and clear water, the Similan national park has everything to offer.

The best and most relaxing way to enjoy the diving in the Similans is with a liveaboard boat - don't miss a liveaboard trip to the Similans with our MV Black Manta and MV White Manta!

Our 4 days liveaboard cruises with MV Black Manta and MV White Manta will take you to Similan Islands, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai, Surin Islands and Richelieu Rock (famous for its whale shark encounters). In November you can also join MV White Manta for a 3-day cruise to the Southern Islands, Hin Daeng and Hin Muang.

Both Black Manta and White Manta are top-end professional liveaboard diving vessels. Apart from all the facilities designed specifically to meet divers' needs, the cabins are tastefully decorated in Thai style with en suite bathrooms to provide most comfort at sea.

We have very experienced cruise directors on both boats to pick the best sites and give full briefings. The dive groups are small and divided by the divers' level of training and interests underwater to make sure each and every one of our customers can get the best out of each dive.

When you are not diving, there are always other things to help you relax and rejuvenate: freshly prepared food or snacks, a movie in the lounge, a Thai massage in your cabin. You will definitely find each minute of the trip enjoyable!
